Story:
Baldzer Blake (Nicholas Cage) is a master magician in modern-day Manhattan who tries to save the city from his arch-nemesis Maxim Horvath (Alfred Molina). Baldhazar can’t do it alone, so he recruits Dave Stutler (J. Baruchl), a seemingly average person, who shows a hidden ability, as his unwanted protégé.
The magician gives his unwanted companion an accident course in the art and science of magic, and together, these potential partners work to stop the forces of darkness. It takes all the courage he can muster to save his training, to save the city and to get the girl as she becomes a magician’s apprentice.
