Story:
MIT professor John Koestler links a mysterious list of numbers to a set of time capsules for past and future disasters and to prevent ultimate catastrophe.
In the fall of 1959, for a time capsule, students took pictures of life as they imagined it would be in 50 years. Lucinda, a wonderful kid who gives voice to, writes a long string of numbers fast. In 2009, the capsule opened; Student Caleb Koestler receives Lucinda’s “drawing” and looks at her father, John, an astrophysicist and a sad widow. He discovers the histories of disasters that have died over the past 50 years. Three dates remain, all coming soon. He does research, learns of Lucinda, and finds her family. He gives in to his son, who has begun to sound and who is visited by a silent stranger who dreams of fire and destruction. what’s going on?
